Government of Iran and UNDP sign an agreement to inclusive development and job generation

Mr Issa Mansouri, Deputy Minister of Entrepreneurship & Employment of Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social welfare and Mr Claudio Providas, UNDP Resident Representative in the Islamic Republic of Iran

Mr Issa Mansouri, Deputy Minister of Entrepreneurship & Employment of Ministry of Cooperatives, Labour and Social Welfare and Mr Claudio Providas, UNDP Resident Representative in the Islamic Republic of  Iran signed a technical agreement on 9 October 2019 to launch start-up activities on inclusive growth mainly around community-based employment.

Drawing on UNDP’s previous experiences in Iran regarding rural development, early recovery and disaster risk management projects with the Government, a specific component will focus on design and implementation of livelihood and economic in the 2018-2019 flood affected areas.

The join initiative also will include training policymakers and capacity building elements for government officials.
