The ancient New Year tradition of Nowruz coincides with the arrival of spring.

Nowruz is celebrated as the beginning of the New Year by more than 300 million people all around the world and has been celebrated for over 3000 years.

Celebrating Nowruz means the affirmation of life in harmony with nature.

As people gather around the haft sin table, Mr. Gary Lewis, the UN Resident Coordinator in Iran – on behalf of the UN Family in Iran – wishes each and every one of you a peaceful, healthy and a prosperous new year.
