4th Green Banking Workshop

representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Environment, Ministry of Energy, university professors and members of other related projects of UNDP were among the attendees at the 4th Green Banking workshop

The 4th Green Banking workshop took place on 18 February at Simorgh Hotel, Tehran.

The workshop started with Ms. Farzin Motamed, Manager of International Cooperation Department of Bank Keshavarzi speech regarding the project and introducing the people who are involved in the project.

Next, Dr. Mohammad Ali Farzin, Head of Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development cluster of UNDP delivered a speech and defined project goals and objectives and approach to cost-benefit analysis and macroeconomic framework.

He also described Bank Keshavarzi’s role in Iran’s economic growth and development and also reviewed the development of Khorasan Shomali province as a pilot site.  Later on Dr. Shajari, Green Banking Project Consultant reviewed the previous workshop working group findings.

The three working groups then worked on providing an instruction on Land and Water area and at the end each group presented their results.

Dr. Keykhah, Deputy of Natural Environment of Department of Environment, and representatives from the Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Environment, Ministry of Energy, university professors and members of other related projects of UNDP were among the attendees.
