Endangered and threatened species are normally attractive for biodiversity conservation mainstreaming and advocacy work, as a result many NGOs have been active in this field working on community-based conservation with SGP support. Most of the activities within this cluster have been focused field-based conservation and education.
The Wildlife Cluster works on a number of important species including Asiatic cheetah, Asiatic Black Bear, Persian Leopard, Emperor spotted newt, Siberian crane, Euphrates turtle, Hawksbill turtle and White-headed duck.
